Outlining the Social Networking Landscape

Posted: January 22, 2010

Rana Walker provided an excellent presentation covering popular online social networking sites and how to use them. FaceBook and LinkedIn were the primary focal points. Rana reviewed the overall "idea" of social networking and discussed how professionals from both the allied and direct sides could use these tools to their advantage as part of their daily business.

Some comments from our follow up survey were:

"Excellent content and very useful information on this new phenomenon"

"Rana's knowledge, suggestions, tips & ideas were refreshing. I have been to similar meetings with this same topic that were either to technical for some people to understand or to general. Because she could give examples specific to our industry and present to those with any level of involvement in Social Networking I felt it was worthwhile for everyone."

"This was so timely and valuable, plus Rana Walker did a great job of presenting and anticipating what newbies potential concerns and pitfalls to avoid in getting up to speed on social networking."

"Did not know about the Fairmont Battery Wharf. Very pleasantly surprised and recommended the venue for a client meeting this morning. Thanks for going outside the boxes!"
